my bloody valentine

Muscle of love
 red flows within
    magical liquid
    giving a rhythm
  never a quiver
the beat of life
goes on and on
   lub-dub dubbing along
and the heart of the matter
is the matter of the heart.

Muscle of love.....and those last two lines.....a wonderful response to the prompt. Thank you! And the image complements the words. I especially like the "laciness" of the image. Perhaps it shows the delicate nature of love, that one should tend it well.
So nice to see you here at dVerse. http://dversepoets.com I hope you'll join us often! I'm "tending bar" from Bermuda right now -- we are usually in Boston but for the last three years have spent February and March here -- although this year, just February. So, it may be that I just cannot see the tag? or a link? It is helpful to include the tag "dVerse" and/or to put a statement at the end of your poem that says something like "Responding to the prompt at dVerse" and linking the word dVerse to the site. This gives your wonderful post more readers....and helps other find their way to the pub so there are more posts and again, more readers. We are a fun bunch and the more the merrier!
Happy Valentine's After Day from Bermuda! :)

Nice ending about the heart of the matter being the matter of the hearts.

Love those last two lines, especially, and the pithy brilliance of "muscle of love."
